Intern with Aperture Public Relations
Aperture Public Relations, a major theatrical publicity firm, is looking to provide an educational experience for motivated and reliable undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in theatre, communications, or public relations. This internship will run September through December 2026. Interns will be introduced to the day-to-day practices of publicity campaigns, working alongside our staff through a mix of observation and hands-on assistance.
Basic Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting press agents with day-to-day assignments, conducting research projects, providing administrative support (including occasional errands), staying current on industry news and trends, and assisting with the management of the company's social media accounts. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in special assignments and work hands-on at events throughout the semester.
Necessary skills include the ability to multitask and stay organized, strong verbal communication skills, pleasant phone manners, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms. Interns must be self-motivated, responsible, discreet with client and company information, and able to work collaboratively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Interns receive complimentary tickets to productions handled by our office, and opportunities to receive tickets to other theatrical productions and entertainment events (when available). Business casual dress code.
Intern schedules are flexible between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to 20 hours per week. Most work will be done at our offices in the Times Square area.
